Grayola sets it with AI that reads each project's brief — design type, complexity, number of deliverables and urgency. You see the final price in dollars and decide whether to take it. That simple.
It means your earnings can be adjusted during the project based on the real scope of the work. Don't worry: every project on Grayola pays the designer. You always earn.
Our algorithms personalize offers around your skills, your activity and the projects you have delivered on Grayola. The better you perform, the better the offers in your "For you" feed.
Yes — you can read the complete brief with every detail. The brand's files and assets unlock once you accept the project.
Offers go out to the whole network — 300+ active designers accepting projects 24/7. Whoever accepts fastest, earns. If you see an offer you like, don't overthink it.
Of course. Just don't accept it — that's it. You decide when you come online and which projects you take.
Report it before you accept, or accept first and report it after (so another designer doesn't beat you to it). Tell us why you think the payout should be adjusted. Your feedback trains our AI and makes it more accurate every time.
Yes, that's your payout and you'll see it in your balance. Grayola runs payments on Stripe, and Stripe charges a fee to convert USD into your local currency and transfer it to your account. That fee is set by Stripe, not Grayola.
We pay on the 10th and the 25th of every month. When the client marks your project complete, the balance lands in your account and joins the next payout run. For example: a project completed on the 11th pays out on the 25th; completed on the 26th, it pays on the 10th. The faster you deliver quality, the faster it adds up.
USD. Grayola is a US company and covers the payout fees. Converting to your local currency carries a fee, charged directly by Stripe.
The Grayola standard is 3 rounds of revisions included. If the client asks for more rounds, or for work that wasn't in the original brief, write to support: we review the case and can raise your payout. We charge the client more so you earn more.
Contact support so we can review that specific case and adjust your payout. We're working on making this automatic.
On Grayola the designer never loses. If you did the work and delivered quality, Grayola pays you for it — that's why we always charge brands up front. If we see rejections coming from a lack of quality in your deliveries, we review the case and the project may be reassigned.
The moment you accept, a direct chat opens inside the project. Say hi to the client and start designing. That same chat reaches the Grayola team whenever you need support. There are no project managers in the middle: we trust you to own and lead the project.
Ask the client whatever you need, right in the chat. Our advice: don't be an order-taker. Think critically, ask sharp questions and propose creative solutions. You're the expert.
Push them in the project chat, or write to us and we'll help. If the client never responds or marks the project complete, our team closes it manually so your payout makes the current run. Speak up early — an open project takes up your capacity.
It depends on the client. If the brief requires a specific tool you're not fluent in, don't take that project. If it doesn't specify, the client cares about the result, not the tool. Lead that conversation like the creative advisor you are.
Everything is uploaded inside Grayola. Our file system takes any file type and format, with no size limit.
It's the maximum number of active projects you can hold at once (for example: 8 for graphic design, 4 for video, 6 in total if you do both). Once you hit the limit, the system stops showing you offers until you complete projects. The cap exists so you can hit the turnaround and quality brands expect.
Graphic design: first progress in 24–48 hours. Video editing: first progress in 48–72 hours. Creative work doesn't run in a straight line from A to B, so we work in loops: send partial progress steadily until the project is done. What matters is that the client always sees movement.
Any delivery, partial or complete. Design is iterative and Grayola's brands know it. Deliver fast, iterate on the feedback, close the project.
If you accept a project, you're ready to finish it and take it all the way. If you don't complete it, you don't get paid. In genuine force-majeure cases, tell us and we'll reassign the project. Only accept a project you intend to complete — if you can't, don't take it.
No. Neither the brand nor the designer can take the relationship off the platform. Grayola is the guarantee on both sides: we answer for turnaround, quality and payment. Work outside it and Grayola answers for nothing — it's considered bad practice.
No. The projects you deliver on Grayola are published in your native portfolio inside the platform, where brands can discover you. They can't be posted on external platforms.
Designs produced inside Grayola are owned by Grayola, which manages the rights with the brands.
None. Outside Grayola you do whatever you want with your own clients. It works like Uber: if you want to earn, you come online. If you don't, nothing happens.
Grayola stands behind both the designer and the brand. If a client asks for more than the standard 3 rounds, we debit more credits from them — we manage the client by charging them more so you earn more.
There's an AI-driven ranking that prioritizes the most active designers with the best reviews. Every time you complete a project, the client rates you. Good ratings + speed + activity = better offers in your feed.
Yes, and the system helps: if a brand liked your work, you'll likely see more offers from them. But remember Grayola is 24/7 — if you're offline when that brand needs something, another designer in the network will take it. The brand always gets its design.
